# VisJo Extension — Privacy Policy Last updated: July 20, 2026 ## 1. Introduction This Privacy Policy explains how the **VisJo Job Tracker** browser extension ("the Extension") handles information. The Extension is provided by VisJo and works together with the VisJo web platform at https://visjo.com to help signed-in users capture and manage job postings during their job search. This policy covers the Extension only. Use of the VisJo website is covered by our main Privacy Policy. ## Intellectual Property The VisJo service, extension, and all related software, design, and content are owned by Yaroslav Tymchyshyn and protected by copyright and other laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension and service for your personal job search. You may not: copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the service; reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code (except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law); use automated systems to access or scrape the service; resell or provide access to third parties; or circumvent usage limits or technical restrictions. What the Extension Does The Extension lets a signed-in VisJo user: * Capture a job posting from a page they are viewing and save it to their VisJo account * Highlight skills relevant to their job profile directly on the page * Detect whether a posting is already saved (duplicate detection) The Extension only acts on the page the user is actively viewing, and only when the user opens it or triggers an action. --- ## 3. Information We Process * **Job posting content** — When you use the Extension on a job posting page, it reads content from that page (such as job title, company name, description, location, salary, URL, and posting identifiers) so it can be saved to your VisJo account and compared against your job profile. * **Authentication token** — After you sign in through the VisJo website, the Extension stores an access token locally in your browser. This token is sent to the VisJo API to authenticate your requests. It is not shared with any third party. * **Local settings and cache** — Your preferences and cached lists (job profiles, skills, sources, form drafts) are stored locally in your browser to make the Extension faster. --- ## 4. How Information Is Used Information captured by the Extension is transmitted only to the VisJo platform (https://visjo.com) over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and only to provide the features you request: * Saving postings to your account * Analyzing job postings against your profile * Highlighting relevant skills We do not use this information for advertising. --- ## 5. Data Sharing We do not sell your data. We do not share data collected by the Extension with third parties, except as required to operate the VisJo service (for example, secure hosting on our own infrastructure) or as required by law. --- ## 6. Data Retention Job postings and related data you save are stored in your VisJo account for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Locally cached data can be cleared at any time by signing out of the Extension or removing it from your browser. --- ## 7. Permissions The Extension requests: * Access to web pages — to read job posting content on the sites where you search for jobs and to highlight relevant skills on the page you are viewing * Storage — to keep you signed in and cache data locally * Scripting — to read and highlight content on the page you are actively viewing * Identity — to open the VisJo sign-in page and receive your authentication token back from visjo.com The Extension does not access your Google account profile. --- ## 8. Your Choices * You can sign out of the Extension at any time, which removes the stored token and cached data from your browser. * You can remove the Extension from your browser at any time. * You can request deletion of your VisJo account data by contacting us below. --- ## 9. Children The Extension is intended for adults using it in a professional job-search context and is not directed at children. --- ## 10.
